Luke Douglas is an Associate Attorney at Moody & Graf, P.A.. His practice includes all aspects of civil litigation with a primary emphasis on construction law and related disputes. Luke represents contractors and other industry professionals in a wide range of matters, including construction litigation, insurance coverage disputes, collections, real estate issues, and surety-related claims. His practice involves handling litigation from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, negotiating disputes, and advocating on behalf of clients throughout the litigation process.
Luke brings valuable courtroom experience to his practice from his previous role as a prosecutor with the State Attorney’s Office serving Orange County, Florida and Osceola County, Florida. During that time, he handled a high-volume caseload involving DUI offenses, criminal traffic violations, battery cases, and other criminal matters. Luke has conducted 14 jury trials, gaining substantial trial experience early in his career. His background as a prosecutor has equipped him with the skills necessary to effectively analyze cases, develop litigation strategies, and advocate persuasively in the courtroom.
Luke is known as an aggressive litigator and strong negotiator who is both trial-tested and detail-oriented. He approaches each case with a strategic mindset and remains focused on achieving efficient and favorable outcomes for his clients. His experience on both sides of the courtroom provides him with a unique perspective when evaluating risk, negotiating settlements, and preparing cases for trial.
Luke received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida. He obtained his J.D. from Barry University School of Law, where he completed an externship with the State Attorney’s Office and began developing his trial skills through hands-on courtroom experience.
Outside of his legal practice, Luke enjoys spending time with his wife, Julia, attending church events, staying active in the gym, and fishing.
